All training takes place at the Black Beard K9 training facility. We do not offer in-home training. Training at our facility allows for consistency, structure, and a controlled learning environment for both the dog and the handler.

All programs run for four weeks. Training sessions take place Tuesday through Friday, starting the first full week of every month.

No. Black Beard K9 does not offer board and train programs.
All training is done through private coaching, with the handler involved in every step of the process. -
Private coaching means we work directly with you and your dog together. You are not handing your dog off and hoping for the best. You’re learning how to handle situations, communicate clearly, and maintain progress after the program ends.

Yes. All private coaching programs are the same price, regardless of training focus.

Yes. Multiple-dog households are welcome.
Each additional dog must have a dedicated handler present during sessions. Additional dogs receive a significant discount. -
We offer a proficiency guarantee, along with lifetime support. Training success depends on consistency, follow-through, and handler involvement, which is why education is a core part of every program.

Yes, when appropriate. Tools are selected based on the dog, the handler, and the goals of training. All tools are introduced clearly and ethically, with full instruction on proper use.

You leave with the skills, understanding, and resources to continue training on your own. Lifetime support and community access are included if questions or challenges come up later.

We offer private coaching group classes and optional weekend adventures such as pack walks, group hikes, and group swims. Dogs must complete training and receive trainer approval before participating. -
